Disease Prevention

Many people are sick at least a few times every year or more, and the first thing so many of them do is run to their doctor, explain their symptoms, expect and usually get a prescription for drugs. So, they take the prescription to their nearest pharmacy, buy their drugs, go home and "medicate" themselves (or they go to a surgeon to have something cut out). Of course, we should all know by now that virtually all drugs (now so often referred to as "medicine") have side effects, most of which are worse than the original symptoms; some "side effects" even cause death. In fact, about 250,000 people die every year from the use (not misuse) of prescription and non-prescription drugs; not only are drugs toxic to the body but they are actually causing diseases rather than curing them. Drugs are not made so people will never have to buy them again! The only real difference between drug companies and drug dealers is that the drug companies have a license to deal drugs; both deal dangerous drugs and both are trained to get people "hooked" so they will come back to buy more drugs. However, drug companies are praised for their "services", while drug dealers are punished for their "crimes". In reality, the drug dealer and drug companies both make a living doing exactly the same thing -- dealing drugs.

Sometimes drugs or surgery can be a good thing though... like if you fall off the house and break your neck, or if you actually need surgery. In terms of medical emergencies, drugs and surgery have their place and purpose in the medical world. But using drugs or surgery to prevent, treat or cure disease, is in most cases unsafe and illogical.


ADDRESS THE CAUSE BEFORE TREATING SYMPTOMS

For every effect (symptom), there is no doubt a cause -- and it is my belief that the cause of all illness and disease is from one of three things:
  1. GERMS
  2. TOXINS
  3. IMBALANCE

*Germs include bacteria, virus, fungus, protozoa and parasites; they cannot infect the body so long as the immune system is strong enough to destroy germs, and there is an adequate number of beneficial bacteria (such as L.reuteri, L.acidophilus and L.bifidus) to prevent harmful germs from growing.

**Toxins include cigarettes, alcohol, prescription and non-prescription drugs (including antibiotics), chemicals in city water (including flourine and chlorine), refined foods, processed foods, irradiated fruits and vegetables, animal products, polluted air in our homes and outdoors, chemical herbicides and pesticides, preservatives, chemical dyes, chemicals in personal hygiene and cleaning products, etc. The smaller the amount of toxins that enter the body, the smaller the chances are of developing disease.

***An imbalance could be (and usually is) due to such simple things as: lack of rest, lack of sunlight, nutritional imbalance, stress or a lack of exercise; imbalances such as these depress the immune system as well as the systems of detoxification and other body systems... causing illness and disease.

Symptoms not related to an illness caused by germs are usually chronic degenerative diseases, which took time to develop due to toxins and/or an imbalance in the body. Even in diseases associated with genetic predisposition, the underlying cause is not actually the genetic flaw in and of itself but rather, that the diseases you are most proned to developing will develop first... but only if you have a chronically depressed immune system, toxin overload and/or an imbalance in the body. Without these weaknesses or imbalances, the human body is capable of healing itself from virtually every illness and disease! And since it is possible to prevent degenerative diseases from developing, then would it not be logical to assume that it is also possible to prevent passing on our developed genetic weaknesses to our children (and theirs)?


SIMPLE ILLNESS AND DISEASE PREVENTION

To prevent GERMS from causing illness, there are five simple steps you can take to increase immunity (and balance/maintain the health of all other body systems):
  1. Rest at least 8-10 hours every night
  2. Get 15-30 minutes or more sunlight every day
  3. Eat a nutritionally balanced (60% raw) organic vegetarian whole food diet
  4. Meditate 10-15 minutes every morning (or other stress reduction method)
  5. Exercise at least thirty minutes every day

To prevent TOXINS from causing the body to succumb to degenerative disease, the body's systems of detoxification (i.e., the endocrine, digestive, urinary, respiratory and dermal systems) must be healthy and able to eliminate toxins and waste, so:

  1. Maintain a healthy PH Balance
  2. Try the Detox Liquid Fast Plan
  3. Reduce the amount of toxins going into your body

If you still continue to experience symptoms of disease (after trying the above recommendations for at least a few months), see a nutritionist, herbalist or other natural holistic health care practitioner who does not use toxins, drugs or surgery.
